10 Years AWP

2/10/2002  AWP Valves

In October 1992 the company AWP was founded by Ferdinand Strotkötter and Peter-Jörg Mahnke who closely co-operated to make the company one of the best-known and highly estimated business partners in refrigeration industry. The experiences of the well-skilled staff and engineers, however, go back even to 1972. From then until 1990 more than 400.000 valves have been supplied to the Soviet Union. Development and production of AWP-valves can be carried out in a most flexible way due to modern CAD technics and CNC-controlled tools. With regard to new and improved design of tools AWP successfully co-operates with scientists of the best refrigeration institutes.

By the use of particular software operation conditions can be simulated. This makes it possible to adapt each component to its sensible installation place within the refrigeration plant. Each part is made suitable for the operational conditions so that highest functional safety is achieved. All modifications in design will be examined on the company’s own test stand first.

AWP offers a complete programme of usual valves for refrigeration plants and units. According to its philosophy the company focusses on individual solutions for the customer. Among others the company-groups GEA, Mycom and York profit of their fruitful co-operation with AWP.

The growing market and constantly increasing turnover make it possible that AWP steadily invests in modern technology for an effective and environmentally useful manufacture of refrigeration valves.

Presently 70 employees – among them 6 trainees – are motivatedly working for AWP and for a close and long-standing partnership with our customers.
